What is everyone doing this weekend?

I will be hiding inside and finishing my squid. I have to figure out what to do about the eyes. :( I will probably be playing some OW and maybe Ori and the Blind Forest. Other than that, cleaning the house.

Hiding in my house and starting an embroidery project. I keep seeing all these pretty flower field samplers and I want to try my hand at making one.

I hope your squid turns out well. I’ll be gardening, cooking, cleaning, hand washing clothes to avoid the laundromat... idk. My hands need a break from all the yard work I’ve been doing. Even though California’s on lockdown, apparently going for walks is still allowed so I’ll probably walk around the neighborhood.

Avoiding the shops down the road because if it was anything like today, tomorrow is going to be like the Huger Games before people officially stay at home next monday.

I'm trying to make some dot-to-dot pages for my brother and try and think of other stuff to keep him entertained, then I'm going to ink my own fan art stuff or at least try and practice drawing animals.
Also finally going through my dvd collection and deciding what to keep or throw away - I'm halfway through R.O.D the series and might start on the original FMA next.

Yeah, it is rough here in stores. How old is your brother?

He's 33y, but he has learning difficulties and is non verbal - although he isn't any trouble to look after him we do have to keep an eye on him.
Its just figuring things he can do that could keep him busy is the tricky part instead of sitting him in front of the tv the entire time, although I had come up with a few ideas for easter crafts.

Enjoying the day I should have been going to con with working on a little personal fic project thing. Not sure I'm going to post it right away, tbh. I've kind of taken a bit of a hiatus from being really active online. But I've been blowing away free time sleeping for so long that I just....can't stand the idea of it anymore. I need to do something and have something to look forward to.

Hey, those are great things you are doing! I was trying to explain to my co-workers that just hanging out home in PJs will lead to depression and such. Good on you for keeping busy!

Thanks. though keeping busy is a new thing admittedly. And yeah I can attest to that, I feel like the last few months I've sort of bounced between extreme depression and extreme anxiety occasionally both at once.

I got on full medication again so I think that's starting to kick in!

in a case of very bad timing, two of my friends had birthdays this weekend so their parties had to be postponed until the corona virus scare is over and who knows when that's gonna be?

Oh no! That sucks for them. I hope they can find something to do at home.

Just hanging out and relaxing, watching TV/reading, doing some cleaning...honestly, not really anything different than I do any other weekend. Might make brownies later.

Currently I'm watching 'Contagion', which is *such* a good movie. I love how they have the people in the CDC lab laying their moonsuit down and checking it for leaks and things before they put it on, and wiping down the sample bags and things....

Smart, thorough, realistic. None of this 'wrap a tattered shirt around my face and go into ground zero' bullshite. Competency, FTW!

I like the part where they pan across a bunch of brand name centrifuges the way action movies will randomly pan across some soda machines.

I also agree that the science is pretty good and that it's a good movie over all, but the fact that Thermo paid for product placement cracks me up :)

Not sure if I could watch a movie like that right now. D: Though, I have thought of seeing if anyone wants to do a movie watch because Shudder is free for a month.

I think they consulted with the CDC to get as close to the real thing as they could...I wanna watch this and hope things don't spiral out control here to that extent

I have my German lesson (through Zoom) tomorrow. Sunday I'll do housework. Usually I take my comforter to the laundromat and wash it this time of year but I know that's a lousy idea right now. I'm having a hard time convincing myself not to do it though. I don't know why.

(One way or the other I have to do laundry in machines other people use, so I've just faced up to that, but I don't mind as much when it's the ones in my apartment building. But they're too small for my comforter.)

I guess nothing. I might go to the store because while I have food, I think it would be a good idea to get some of whatever people are not panic-buying and subsist off of that while saving my canned/frozen/dry stuff that I probably won't be able to replenish soon.

Today, I brought home a lot of stuff from work for fear I can't go back and need to do everything from home. If I can go in Monday I will grab the rest of what I might need and as many of my coworkers' office plants as I can fit in my car lest no one is able to water them for weeks.

Yeah, I don't know if I will be going to work next week so I made sure to bring home any food that might go bad over the next month. I hope you are able to get shopping done!
