it's definitely lost it's meaning over the years and now gets foisted on characters who happen to just be good at things, or nice people. or sometimes just female characters existing in a show/movie.

but yeah IA i'm glad it's falling out as a legit criticism because it's giving creators more freedom with their ladies.
