I didn't actually realise that character was albino until I saw him referred to as 'the albino' somewhere. If it's said in the movie, I missed it completely. He just looked like a slightly pasty blond to me.

Well, he's not really. It's meant to be a fairly ridiculous caricature of the trope. I mean, they barely even tried to make him look like one.

I'm trying to think up all the 'evil albino' characters I can remember, and all I can think of is Bakura from Yu-gi-oh and that one main dude in Berserk.

I'm surprised you didn't say Kisara. While she's not necessarily evil, Seto still uses her Ka as his weapon, and depending on your opinion on who's wrong and who's right in the overall battle of Ancient Egypt, she could have been/was used nefariously/
Seriously though, she's the only one who actually suits the literal albino definition in the series. While Thief King Bakura had light hair and eyes, it's fair to say that those characteristics are proof of a godlike Ka residing within him, just like how Atem, and Kisara, are the only ones wit light hair.

I see Y!Bakura being described as albino all the time, and really, I'm fine with that, but that doesn't make the allusion true... The base line of it being that Ryou has light hair, and that's the only thing he had that relates him to Bakura physically. But even then their hair tones don't even match. I'm sure Ryou has a strong soul which validates his traits, and his ability to maintain control of his body. He's not Bakura's reincarnation by a long shot, but rather the best available body fate had on hand when Yugi sprung the Puzzle.

...Err, y'know, I think I'll just shut up now...

in my defense I grew up watching the 4kids version and I don't think uk tv showed the later series because I have no idea who kisara is.

Also I just remembered Pegasus if he counts. Probably not but I am typing with half my brain functioning at the moment lol.
