I feel that way about the second one. Okay, and parts of the first are weak too. But parts work so well, at least for me. An excellent villain and great characters in general can make something feel really good even if the plot is spotty in parts.

Like, if we live hours apart, our families/friends hate each other, we have weird work/school hours, and our personalities and values are so different that we're constantly arguing, at a certain point it would just be less of a hassle to break up

I didn't actually realise that character was albino until I saw him referred to as 'the albino' somewhere. If it's said in the movie, I missed it completely. He just looked like a slightly pasty blond to me.

Ivan stans are by far the weirdest example of the “affable Everyman with masculinity-obsessed stans who’re obsessed with how he’s cheated out of his masculine due” thing. (See also: Xander stans, Jaune stans, and FIM Spike stans. Yes, FIM Spike, who is literally an infant, has stans who want him to be super masculine and get all the girls.)

Hate to break it to you, but women aren't any better. Some of the worst fandom drama I have ever dealt with came from a cosplay group that was entirely female.
