Me, I wore contacts for a year once when I was 14. (I wanted to be an actor, so I figured I ought to get used to wearing them early.) I didn't have any trouble with them except for one thing - I have really, really, REALLY sensitive eyes. Like, the first time the optometrist put contacts in my eyes, I was SCREAMING in utter agony. They'd been sitting in regular solution, and to me, that was like someone shoving hot pokers in my eyes. I was sick for the rest of the day.
I managed to wear them with sensitive eye solution, but they ALWAYS felt like they were burning slightly. I eventually went back to glasses. They might have even more sensitive solution now, I don't know, but ick. I doubt anything could really make contacts comfortable for me.
So yeah, it might not be an issue of fit! Could just be comfort.

Yeah, I need sensitive eye solution, too. They don't often burn, but they still do sometimes; it's possible that's RSL's problem.
