Yeah, I see you're trying to get edgy with your snark, but you're not applying that term appropriately, which undercuts your attempt.

Hint: The most obvious and first theory isn't "maybe you're a lesbian" or the even more bizarre face blindness, it's that a lot of mainstream media has a fairly narrow range of male attractiveness and op's tastes fall outside of that range. Which is more common than people think.

If you literally think that most male actors look identical, that's provably untrue. Someone who can't tell different people apart may have face blindness or be otherwise neurodivergent in some way. That's only an insult if you're lying about thinking these men are interchangeable or if you're ableist.

Now, if you don't literally think that, then you're just being bitchy in that "Other Girls are attracted to guys who all look the same and I don't understaaaaaaand" sense. You could just be generally bitchy, but the "not like the other girls" thing is still a pervasive social phenomenon and is a kinder interpretation of that attitude than the alternatives.

If none of the above is true, you'd say what you personally are (or aren't) attracted to, and leave "the other girls" out of it.

I sort of agree. I don't think they really look interchangeable, they're just not attractive to me. And it's not even like I have unusual tastes or anything, because the people I DO find super hot are conventionally attractive and don't really look all that different than the really popular ones. It doesn't make any sense lol.

Not being attracted to men who are widely considered attractive is completely reasonable and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But if you genuinely think a large number of attractive men look "interchangeable" that actually does suggest you may have a degree of face blindness.

Even if you do have a degree of face blindness, though, that doesn't make your lack of attraction to certain popular choices any less valid.

I get what you're saying. Really. And I say this as someone who has drooled over some plainfaced dudes (non plainfaced as well).

I guess sometimes it's who is available, who is at large by society deemed attractive, and personal taste.

I tend to like interesting or devastingly handsome faces, but I will admit sometimes those faces are not Hollywood pretty or they're androgynous or whatever, but sometimes, those plain faced guys have a little something. For example I think Chris Evans is kinda hot, but I still find him plain faced. I can't quite explain it.
