Honestly, to some extent, libido doesn't give you much choice. When your libido's up, sex tends to be very, very appealing.

My libido's never been all that high, but there was a while in my early twenties where it spiked a bit, and wow, there were a couple of days a month where being preoccupied with sex was non-optional. Just the thought of the smut I was going to get off to when I got home was enough to get me aroused.

I went on birth control and my libidos been around a 2/10 ever since. And frankly, the way you experience sex when your libido isn't driving you to it is, IMO, quite different from the way you experience it when your libido is heavily involved. When you get horny enough, it's almost an altered state of mind.
