I assume you're not talking about characters that are written to be hated? e.g., Kai Winn, The Purple Man from Jessica Jones -- but rather characters that we're supposed to like.

I wouldn't say "hate" -- hate expends a lot of energy -- but there are certainly characters that I'm not interested in watching: Neelix from Voyager, J.D. From Scrubs, and McKay from SGA are three that come to mind.

Not OP, but this was my comment. No, I'm not. Actually, I usually don't end up hating those characters because they serve a role and often work really well for the role they are meant to play. In-universe they are awful people, but they are great characters (if that makes sense).

Apart from Snape, who I hate for other reasons, the other ones here are ones I feel aren't really great characters and are overly loved by the authors and foisted on the audience over and over again even though they don't deserve it.

Totally. I can appreciate an antagonist written so well that it makes me want to punch the page/screen. :p
