OMG, those books. I tried. I really tried. The first were fine, I only managed to read like 10% of Pillars of Creation, and I skimmed through the last of them, annoyed at a lot of the stuff that happened but wanting to see it to the end. In retrospect, I should have stopped before Pillars of Creation.

The show was miles better, though. Although, admittedly, I didn't even read the first book until I'd seen the first 3 episodes of the show. I got intrigued and bought the book. But still, the show was awesome. And it gave us four great eye-candy stars and lots of equal opportunity sexy. And I will always be thankful to LOTS and Bridget's Kahlan for helping me to admit my bisexuality.
Damn, now I want a rewatch. Must find my dvds.

I did love that the show was equal opportunity about the sexy. And, in fact, it was pretty equal opportunity about everything. So many shows are guy heavy. (Like all of the procedurals I used to watch, which seemed to try to maintain a 3 or 4 to 1 guy to girl ratio.) But on LotS, the main four were equally split, and there were women in every side role from helpful to antagonistic. I loved that.
I've only rewatched once. But it is on my list of things to watch again. Sometime. When I finally get around to actually hooking up my televisions.
