I feel like this is satire when combined with the photos of very distinct pops.

the robot and the cthulhu one are different but I think it's fair to say most funko pops of human characters do look incredibly similar

Here, have a video of someone trying to guess pretty generic funkos.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k8FczB_2WQ

I guessed one because of what it was holding and another one out of sheer luck.

This is why people who collect them keep them in the boxes, isn't it? Cause otherwise they wouldn't have a fucking clue which is which.

But isn't that just how it goes with fandoms? You could show some highly detailed action figure of some character but if I don't know the fandom, I won't know who the character is...

AYRT - The thing is, I am actually familiar with most of the fandoms in this video and I would have definitely recognized the figures if it wasn't for the generic funko pop face.

Agreed. I mean, I kind of assumed the point of these were that they all have the same basic body and head (the "human" ones anyway) and they're only distinctive based on their hair and outfit. Which this secret clearly demonstrates.

They don't even have colored eyes!

Even though they're distinct they're still too "cartoony" for my tastes.

However, I do recognise that for a lot of people it's the only affordable way to get merch of their faves. That and just because I don't like them doesn't mean other people aren't allowed.

I just wish they hadn't slowly overtaken an entire side of one of my comic book stores at the expense of other items. Fortunately the company moved to a new much bigger unit so the Pops got their own section that I can easily avoid. Problem solved.

distinct? OK if you say so

It was a comment secret, I just chose a cute image of assorted figures. No satire intended.

Secret maker but not OP
