Even though I collect a few myself, I do agree that they can be ugly/bland lol.
There's some from series that are my favourites but I hate the funko versions for them. But once in a while I'll find one I think is cute or like how they look (I really like the Lord of the Rings ones for Legolas and Gimli, and my favourite one so far is Jaylah from the Star Trek Beyond movie). Also they're more affordable than most figurines and idk I get them because they spark joy in this existence of mine.

Some of them I waited for came out very nicely (The Last Airbender) or pretty blandly (Star vs.)

Despite my pooh-pooing of the ordinarily clothed ones above, the last two I bought were from Birds of Prey lol
