That's a pretty shit way to fire someone if they actually did. Sorry, I don't know what I would do in your situation OP, but I don't think I would just ask them if I'm fired, it's the sort of thing I just expect to be clearly told.
If she's mailing your check tomorrow perhaps you can expect some other details about your employment status, though.

Thanks. This is honestly helpful. I think it's totally unprofessional whether or not they fired me. Like, respond to my questions and give me some clear communication! Ugh.
