oh jesus I hadn't thought about it but you're absolutely right. how many people are going to desperately try to be as self-sufficient as they can only to realize how much work it is and abandon those poor birds?

although if it leads to renegade flocks of chickens roaming the empty streets pecking the shit out of anyone who walks by, I'm okay with that.

AYRT—as much as I love my hens, feral chicken flocks would probably not survive in a lot of places for long without becoming food for coyotes, bobcats, hawks, raccoons, possums... not to mention getting squashed by cars!
