On one hand I'm enjoying the increase of queer content currently available that would have made teen me lose her mind with joy (especially all the YA novels that has fantasy or scifi in it. Back in the day I lived off the Vampire chronicles, yaoi manga at the library and f/f or m/m fanfiction)- on the other hand however, I feel like that character trope of an old man from a cowboy or Stephen King story who has seen the same drastic rise and fall of fandoms for the past 20 years.
I know that as I've gotten older I've been avoiding and blocking anyone under 20 so that I don't have to talk to them and that's largely because of the tumblr experience.
