I can't recall a time in recent television I watched a finale and thought "damn, that was a brilliant end to a series." I don't mean that in an edgy or hipster or grandpa way; I really don't remember any. Some were okay, while others shit the bed and tossed the soiled linens into the spinning ceiling fan. And then there were shows were cancelled before they had the chance at a proper ending.

Game of Thrones is probably the worst in recent times. D&D gave no fucks, screwed over the audience, and arguably caused some of the cast trauma. Call me bitter, I don't care.

Yeah, I'm really struggling to think of a recent finale I loved and would recommend. I've definitely liked some, but none of them have been, like, emotionally arresting.
