Then came season 6. Season 6 was so incredibly awful and amped up everything I didn't like about a lot of the characters while ignoring the things I liked about them.
Season 7 had just started to turn things around by the end, writing the characters out of the holes they had been trapped in. And then the show was canceled.
I had thought I was okay with that, but then came the revival. And it was so incredibly awful that I couldn't even finish it. (I'm pretty sure the two people I tried watching it with never finished either.) And it retroactively killed a lot of my fondness for the earlier episodes. In a way season 6 hadn't evenanaged to completely accomplish.
So I was already wary about watching anything by ASP again, and now I refuse to do so. And I'm really annoyed that something I enjoyed (and own on DVD) is something I will never want to watch again.
To sum up: I feel you, OP. So much.
