114. I feel the same way. Okay, I've read more than one issue, but I haven't gone back and gone through all of the TP's yet--need to pace my spending. But I loved what I was reading. It felt so good to have some Blue Beetle again, and it really was brilliantly done, balancing his family, his friends, his banter. It felt like Spiderman, if Peter had had a more extensive family unit and a better sense of trust.

OHH! I just had a happy thought that's probably not true, but...what if the reason for cancelling it is to make room for a new Blue Beetle...with Ted Kord back in the spandex?


119. Is there a particular incident in mind? Either way, I feel terrible for him, because he seems like a decent guy, and he's never gonna be able to shake this for the next three or four years. And they're just creepy.


124. Great. Now I want fic where Evo!Pietro (the only one I really care about anyway) getting a secondary reptillian mutation. I don't care about the sexy fact, I just love the idea of him winding up with a mutation that makes him feel less pretty.


148. As I haven't really participated in Japanese fandom for three or four years now, and that was prior to my use of them, I consider ^_^ to be a general emoticon. XD as well, though not one I chose to use. But ^_^ to me looks less stupid than :)



157. Okay, that is actually a really hot manip, but...I despereately hope it's not Tennant. Don't get me wrong--I like him. But I love the Riddler so much more, and I just don't think DT would be the Riddler--he'd be hyper-then-calm DT. Personally, I really want to see David Hyde Pierce. Or a complete unknown.

I mean...it's possible. Ted's still around maybe sorta kinda...eventually he'll have to don the blue-and-blue, right? Bwa-hahahaha?

Wait is he alive again since Booster pulled him back from the brink of death and then had to put him back again because it botched the time stream circaaaa...Booster Gold #10 or something?

Booster pulled him back, everything went to pot, Beetle went back himself (the last Booster saw was Ted in the Time Sphere, staring serenely out at him from the window, and if that doesn't make you cry, nothing will). Rip's the one who took care of all the loose ends. When Booster asks, he tells him that Ted's gone.
But.
Rip's never been too good at being 100% truthfull with Booster. And the very last page of the arc, after it all settles is someone sneaking into Kord Industries at night with the scarab, finding the bay with the Bug in it, and then laughing like Ted did.

So as far as I can tell, it's as probably as anything else that he is alive.
