Oh SHIT! A RACOON just walked right up to my backyard window!! IT WAS SO CUTE!!! My neighbours cats always drop by to visit and play with my cat through the glass, so I was like what who got a new cat, before I realized like ho'shit! that's a racoon!! I don't have to worry about it getting into my garbage or anything since those are locked up, but we've never had those cute furry guys around before and I love 'em! <333333

I'm sure he's gonna make a mess outta something (cause apparently thats what racoons do) but I do not care! SO ADORABLE!

lmao that was my reaction the first time the raccoons came around my patio doors. "is that a new cat? OH SHIT A RACCOON!" The cats were far less than amused, they hate that fucker. He tries to get into my bird feeder but can't because he's too fat to climb up for it. and now he has a friend he brings with him.

Luckily my cat ran up right as the racoon ran away. The poor thing looked young, since I know they get bigger than that, so I hope the neighbourhood cats don't bully him too much. We don't have a bird feeder anymore, but I can totally imagine a swarm of them trying to climb the tree and get at the food! <3

Raccoons are super cute unless you have pers they’d like to eat (I have lost chickens to them) and then they are psychopaths (but cute ones!)

Oh no! My cat stays indoors, so they shouldn't clash too much. I'm sorry about your chickens! I love hearing about them! I have coyotes in my area and people lost a few pets to them, it's always scary living close to wild animals, especially when you don't expect it.

I bet they're getting more bold with fewer people out and about and fewer cars on the roads.

Oh most likely, everyone's staying at home too for the most part so everyones trash is bound to be overfilled as well. I think it was more curious since we were watching a show with a lot of flashing lights, otherwise I don't think the little guy would come right up to the window like he did. Also a lot of nearby land is (or was) being developed into housing, most of it being open fields/tree lines, I remember when the open lot beside our house got bought and built on all the mice had to scatter and most of the nearby houses got infested. Of course racoons can be urban animals so the loss of land might not have much of an impact with them.
