Re: Episodes of Shows That You Like That You Cannot Bear to Watch
(Anonymous) 2020-04-21 12:25 am (UTC)(link)Kind of like That 70s show season 8
Or the last episode of Daria season 4 all the way through to the second movie (to be fair, not ALL the episodes, just the ones centered around you know who).
And I guess now GoT anything after 8.3 hahahahaha fuck
I think I'm a little hesitant to get into anything new at this point. Though I guess only that last one was recent.
I basically don't like any episodes of shows where someone acts wildly OOC for no reason at all. It's so cringe and I just want to slap the writers on the head.
Oh, and like ten years ago... this wasn't a fictional show or anything, but it was either TLC or some other "educational" (quotes deserved) channel featuring a show where people would narrate an illness they had, and the whole thing with the show is if they ended up dead or alive. I forget, and honestly, I don't know why, but at the time, I didn't have a problem with it. But one episode, there was a guy narrating, and at the end he actually died...and was still narrating. That was creepier than anything I'd ever seen (and I am a paranormal activity whore), and I never watched another episode. Not sure that counts though.
Re: Episodes of Shows That You Like That You Cannot Bear to Watch
This implies I will ever watch GoT again. THANKS SEASON EIGHT.

The showrunners stopped caring. They just wanted their show to be over. And it showed.

(Anonymous) 2020-04-21 07:54 am (UTC)(link)Come to find out at the end that the woman was actually an actress playing the part of the woman the story was about. The woman who'd been stalked had actually been murdered by said stalker. After the reveal this woman being interviewed was an actress, the show did a fade out and then just showed the empty chair while a voiceover mentioned the real life woman had died. It was a super eerie transition.
The whole time I was watching that episode, I was sitting here going, "This story sounds awfully familiar...". Turns out I'd heard it covered on some "Dateline" episode years prior, and I even remember thinking at one point, "Didn't the woman in that case die?" Sure enough...
Anywho, yeah, that TLC episode sounds equally creepy.

(Anonymous) 2020-04-21 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)Honestly, for all I know, it might've been Discovery. I haven't had cable TV in a while so I don't quite remember. But that show definitely left an impression on me.
If it was Discovery, double ugh to them for that murder mystery! That's just gross and they should fire whoever is approving shit like that. These are real people, and this is not a soap opera or something featuring the Kardashians.
