I may be the fan who left you that Spike drawing all those thousands years ago here, and promised you a fanart for '47.25435° N, 101.73998° W'. all the while.... The truth is that I had an absolutely perfect image of Steve's farmhouse that inspired me to draw... just like that. I have never drawn scenery before in my life, let alone a home surrounded by farm land. I picked up books about how to draw homes and everything in between, but you can use as many rulers and protractors you want, but there still needs to be talent to define the lines and build them into artwork. Honestly I have dozens of failed drafts and a half portrait of Bucky retuning home, but nothing that fits like a T to what I've been trying to envision, and I am sorry for that, because this is something I have promised you for a long time now.

The secret about artwork in fanfic made me lose my drive a little, but I swear to you that you deserve that fanart. It's one I promised far too long ago, and while I cannot promise you that it will come tomorrow, I'll get you something by the morning of next week. Because you truly do deserve it.

HOMG!!!!!
*clings*

Was it this Spike?
https://imgur.com/a/2HhG1NS

I have had this picture bookmarked for ages and wanting to put it up but I don't have a name attached and I don't like to put up art without a name.

Did you tell me your name and I misplaced it?
*flails about*

If that's your Spike, you need to say how you want it credited so I can at least link it in a post. Unless you don't want it posted at all - well, you just have to say.

I am just delighted! You read something of mine and it sparked an image in your imagination and that is *marvelous*! :D

I remember doing perspective drawing in art class in HS, 'draw this house' and we had to do the thing with the 'here is where you are, now all the lines have to come from that point' so the house was in the right perspective or whatever. Amazingly interesting but also devilishly hard.

I'm just really bowled over that you're working so hard on something that you don't have to even bother with, you don't want to.

Thank you so very much! :D

If you want to talk about the Spike drawing elsewhere, just email me, tabaquij at gmail.

Yup! That's the one! I left it anon so no worries, you didn't misplace anything! Honestly I don't actually have anywhere to credit to, F!S is like the only place I interact with fandom anymore unfortunately. I used to use the handle Brittaunt as a default for most things, so if you don't feel comfortable sharing it without a name then you can use that one, I just don't have anywhere that you can link it to though. By all means though, post it to your hearts content! I made it for you so you can do pretty much whatever you like with it!

Yeah, the last time I tried to something architectural was perspective work in highschool art class, but as soon as I started reading I had a perfect image of one of those old corner farmhouses surrounded by fields. I dug up an old book of my mom's about how to draw curb appeal, grabbed the protractors and rulers, but oh boy it is hard. It kept not turning out so I started on the Bucky picture instead for a little while.
It's really just fun for me, when I get one of those images from a fic it really ignites my want to draw, something I don't do so often anymore, so if anything I should be grateful to you for restarting my muse! Obviously it gets frustrating from time to time when the picture in my mind doesn't translate on the page, (particularly when it's something outside my drawing norm;;) so it's now always easy, but I love it none the less! (it just ends up taking forever;;)

I'm very shy, but I'll give you a shout out when I finally manage to finish my fanart! Be it the house I'm dead set on or a scruffy Bucky!

YAY!
I'm so glad you spoke up. I would look at that bookmark like once a week, and try to figure out a way to *figure it out*! Hehe.

Excellent.

And thank you so much (again, i hope) for drawing that! And for wanting to draw more things, that is amazing and awesome!

Whatever you do, I know I will be delighted. I hope you're having fun, at least, trying to draw your vision, and not just getting frustrated!

Thank you again! :D Can't wait to see your work.

I couldn't be more happy that I did too! I almost didn't even bring it up, but I guess the serendipity of it all just sort of cracked me out of my shell enough to mention it!
I almost feel bad since there is literally no more than three anonymous fanarts floating around the internet by me, all sent anonymously. Yours, the artwork in "Unchained Melody", and the first fic I sent art for ever! (all of which don't even share the same style)
I can just imagine your frustration trying to figure this out for so long, so it legitimately makes me happy that not only we got to sort this out, but that you liked my art enough to try to figure out it out for as long as you have! It really means so much to me! I'm all flustered!

I swear I'll get that farmhouse down! Just talking about this lit another fire under me to try again with Bucky, I'm used to portraiture, so it's wouldn't be much more than a face, my goal today was to knock some of my rust off and get back into the feel of emoting. It's still a little rough, but there are some distinct angles and emotion I want to imbue to really capture Bucky's first impression walking up to the farmhouse!

The fun is always there! Any time I get frustrated I just take a step back and reread your story, and all I can do is smile!

Awwwww! :D
You make me smile. It's seriously just the most awesome thing, as a writer, to know that someone has not only enjoyed what you wrote, but has been *inspired* by what you wrote into creating something else.

YAYAYAY!

I'm so glad you spoke up.
*smish*
