While replaying the FFVII Remake, I feel more and more annoyed on Cloud's behalf:

-Doesn't get paid what he's owed
-Gets bitched at for having the audacity of not doing his job for free/out of the same idealism/zealotry as his employer despite that being clear from the start
-People constantly whine at him for not being nice to everyone while everyone else is fucking rude towards him
-His choices never seem to matter and he constantly gets pushed into things against his will
-The way several characters are super pushy towards him would make so many people uncomfortable if he was a female character and the people coming onto him were male but the way it is, it's played for laughs

This was all the same in the original game and it annoyed me there as well but I think it's the voice acting that makes it so much worse in the remake.

Yeah, dude could basically write several entries on r/choosingbeggars the way he keeps getting exploited for "exposure".

I agree with a lot of these but not the one about being nice. The dude is trying to sell himself as a merc. People aren't going to want to hire someone who seems disinterested and annoyed at them despite doing this for money.
