It is melodramatic and over the top, but I can't help but enjoy 911. I'm not even sure why because I don't even like most cop shows anymore. But something about this one has grabbed me.

I've finally gotten around to reading the Mistborn Trilogy thanks to the epidemic. I haven't wanted to fandom anything this bad in a long time. Do books even have fandoms, though, and where would you find a book fandom? Of course, predictably I've got some hero/villain ships and I'm really hoping someone has written a fic or three.

I like overpowered characters. The type of canon characters that often get labelled canon sues are often some of my favorite characters. I love it when heroes and villains are incredible powerful, and when the hero is uniquely powerful and the "chosen one."

I still like Johnlock but the fandom is so saturated with mediocre or just plain bad content that it's hard to find anything good. I end up just rereading old favorites.

I believe that any trope can be good if written well by a skilled author. Certainly lots of things are over-done and have a lot of badly-written examples. But a really good author can take an over-done trope and write about it in a unique way and make it interesting. All tropes are fair game to be good with a good writer.

I refuse to listen to any Avdenture Zone storyline that doesn't involve the original crew of Taako, Magnus and Merle. I have no doubt that the other campaigns are good, I just bonded too strongly with that story in particular.

I can cope with most cliches within fanfic, but when someone writes how "he licked into their mouth" - I just have a mental image of a dog cleaning out a peanut butter jar and the moment is lost.

now that i know how to block writers on Ao3 my fic finding experience has been so much better. finally i can get rid of every writer i don't like so i never have to see their shitty fic even in passing ever again.

I'm not sure if this is my age but I find "loss of virginity" fic boring. Especially because in M/F fic it's usually focused on a totally virginal woman who needs a big strong well-endowed man to come along and show her sexual desire.

First time between two somewhat experienced partners or an established relationship exploring new things? Hot.

Man having to explain sex to woman who hasn't even TRIED to touch herself? Zzzzzzzz.

I like a very specific type of fucked-up male character, but some of the only characters I absolutely loathe tick almost every box on the “characters I obsess over” checklist and also often have overlapping fanbases.

I built Garth Marenghi's Darkplace up too much in my head before watching it over quarantine. It's not as funny as I thought it would be, considering I love everything else its cast and creators have done.

Lulu and Anthony and their relationship was so obnoxious. I'm usually all about childhood friends-turned-romantic relationship, but the way these two humiliated everyone in their orbit while getting together was just the worst.
