I’m not gonna lie, I liked Twilight until Midnight Sun ruined the series for me, but I’d rather have a sequel to The Host than another Twilight book. Especially after that piss-poor genderbent version she did for the anniversary.

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I will be working on the duck I am making for my brother-in-law. I will also be getting up early to catch some Pokemon before it gets too hot to be outside. Other than that, not much else will be going on.

First sleep. I don't think I slept a solid hour last night. I'm running on fumes and I've been researching/writing/doing telephonic hearings all day.

Then my boss sent me two projects today that he wants by Monday. :sideye: he sends me nothing all week and then sends me four things yesterday for today and two today for Monday.

Other than that, watching Body of Proof season 2/Babylon 5 season 4 depending on what I have time for.

No idea. I've reached peak ennui. Weekend? What's a weekend? What is time even?

I did make an enormous pork roast in the crock pot today, so I'll probably make a pork and rice casserole tomorrow with homemade cream of celery soup. Might don my homemade mask and make a trip to the local greengrocer tomorrow morning to check out their spring produce.

It has been unseasonably cool here in your home state. Highs in the low 70s. How hot is it getting there?

Feeling incredibly salty over how, after years of getting yelled at to stop spending so much money on avocado toast et al.* it's now apparently my job to prop up the economy by spending money. Hey, how about everybody go fuck themselves!

It's grocery shopping weekend! It's going to be so exciting! I haven't been out of the house since Tuesday! GROOOOOCERIES!!

(This takes me back to my grad school days, when I had no money and buying groceries was my only allowed shopping experience and therefore a source of entertainment.)

As it's been since quarantine started...I don't have any plans. I'll probably read a bit and bingewatch a little. Whatever strikes my fancy.

I planned to start my own crochet animal! A tiny koala, as a (joke) gift for a friend. I bought a cheap skein of fluffy polyester earlier, but I watched a video just now that recommends cotton thread. I actually knew that already, I just forgot. Sigh. I'll get some cotton wool on Monday, and get started then, and I guess the polyester will have to content itself with becoming a pair of socks.

The delay might be a blessing in disguise, though: this gave me the motivation to finish a bigger knitting project that has been on the shelf for a year now, missing only a few simple rows. On I go!

Accidentally stepped on my kitty's foot this morning as she raced past me right at my feet into the kitchen. She got a few treats to make up for it, though, so she didn't stay offended.

I wasn't really thinking about where I was walking and managed to walk backward into the shelves that had the last few boxes of eggs for sell at the supermarket - all of which fell to the floor and were probably broken as I ran away from that isle in fear.

I only ever had a PC so I never played the original, but the drama permeated every part of fandom and was endlessly entertaining. So, is the remake fandom shaping up to be similar to the old one? Is there a rekindled Cloti vs Cloris ship war? Is there a new generation of Sephirothwives? Inquiring minds want to know.
