It's OK OP. There are no local bookstores anymore so if I can't find the book I want at any of the libraries in the state, I pirate them too just so I can read a couple chapters to see if it's worth buying. I used to just read at the bookstore but you can't do that anymore. If I like it then I buy it but if I don't then I just delete it.

Before anyone says just download a sample I do if they have one but not all books offer samples.

I forgot to add the reason I do this with the rise of self publishing there has been a huge rise in crappy novels. The blurb might sound good but then you buy it and there are tons of grammatical errors and the plot looks like something a 8 year old made up. Been burned too many times that way.
