i've got a few OT3's in fandom, but i pretty much hate any sentiment that ships-wars(or just ship-disagreements) should be 'solved' by smushing them all together, like... no? if i ship A/B exclusively i am not going to randomly shove C into that just because some people are being butt-heads about what pairings they like.

and i'm gonna be honest, if C has no goddamn part of A/B in the canon then why on earth would i want to shove them into that in the first place? i literally cannot see A/B/C working in any way, so i'm not going to OT3 that to 'fix' something that isn't broken in my eyes.

Exactly. I do love to multship, and I may like both A/B and B/C as pairings...but I still prefer to focus on each ship separately instead of put all three of them together.

Plus, there's also the fact that while there's some characters I can totally see being the sort to be in polyships, others...not so much.

yeah, like i've got some A/B, B/C ships i like in fandoms, but i'll ship those as entirely separate concepts because i like how the ships work individually but i don't find them compatible as a triad.

100%, like not even sorry there are some ships where i literally, never in a million years, could EVER see them inviting a third person into their relationship because it's clear as day they only want each other.
