Oh big same. Like, I have OT3s, but it's VERY different from resolving a ship war by saying 'X has two hands'. I don't mind people who do like the ot3 of a thing where some people ship A/B and some ship B/C voicing their own preference, but it does bother me when people who have no real stake in it suggest that that's just the natural solution to any disagreement on shipping.

Feeding fic is one of those things where I either LOVE it or it's a total squick and unfortunately there's no way of knowing what any given author is like without reading it myself...

Like, in one of my fandoms, the feeding fic is almost always focused on caretaking, on the physical closeness of hand-feeding, or on the food itself and describing the food attractively, which I am big into. In an old fandom, ALL of the feeding fic was less about the relationship between characters and more about forced weight gain as a kink, which just rubs wrong against my own issues with bodily autonomy and with being fat (I mean I'm in favor of me being fat, it's how nature made me, but I'm very sensitive to fat bodies being seen as fetish material rather than just... being the same as any other body)... so I can't just dive in without reservation.
