My dad's copies of Aeschylus I, Eurpidies V, and Sophocles I (each containing several plays by said author). They were books he used in college in the 1950s, and he gave them to me because he knew I would love them.

They just make me happy, as does his little note he added.

My computer. I spend my life on my computer. That and my books.

The thing that brings me joy is the laptop, at least if we're talking objects. My dog also brings me the worlds end of joy, but it feels weird to talk about him as a thing I own.

The thing that brings me most comfort, and the one object in my house that I could never replace, is my teddy bear. Got him for my christening, been with me more than 30 years, and if my house is ever on fire he's the only non-living thing I'm fighting to bring out with me.

Honestly the Pusheen calendar I got for this year. I usually get one of those writing/organization calendars for practicality, but I saw the cover of it and just like how really cute the drawings are. Its the most out-of-place thing in my room but the drawing for each month has made me smile so far.

My computer. The stuffed animal my dad won for me when I was eight. My bad-ass leather moto jacket from Coach. My perfume collection.

My cat, except my cat owns me so it probably doesn't count...

My PS3. I don't watch TV, but it's got Netflix and I have so many PS3 games I still like re-playing. My luxury cosmetics because they help me deceive people into thinking I'm a little less gross than I actually am.

What would your dream job be in any fictional universe?

I watched Big Hero Six earlier today and if I could I would love to be a professor of robotics at the university in that movie.

How do you feel about crossover fics?

I've been thinking about writing a long (and I do mean long) fic for an obscure fandom. The time period and setting are perfect if I wanted to add characters from another, far more popular fandom. I don't have to, but it has potential.

Is anyone even interested in crossovers?
Do you feel annoyed if you check out an interesting looking fic summary in your fandom of choice, but then find out it's a crossover?
Does it make a difference if you know both fandoms?
Do you have to know and like both fandoms to want to read it?

Why won't doctors listen

Why won't doctors listen? Specifically male doctors? Who decide something is a "female problem" even if it actually isn't related to that at all and refuse to investigate further. I'm so tired of doctors who won't listen.
