Re: How do you feel about crossover fics?

Crossovers can go either way, but I've enjoyed a few. The only time I've been annoyed was when a crossover was being spammed into a tag or section I'm going through and I either don't know it or not interested (thank the good souls of AO3 who finally put in an easy way to exclude tags in the filters).

I know that I usually avoid a crossover if I don't know the other fandoms involved, although it depends on what kind of AU it is - for instance, well before I got into Supernatural I did read a Star Trek crossover because it sounded interesting enough and it was written in a way where it wasn't necessary to know about SPN prior to reading it.
