Re: How do you feel about crossover fics?

I never go out to read them but I actually like crossovers quite a bit. I recently read one where the setting was based in the show Vikings universe (which I've never watched) surrounding a few characters in a fandom I've been reading a lot of fic for. I really quite liked the fic overall, and while I love me some history, it never bothered me that I wasn't familiar with the show it was set in.
I've read a great fic that was a crossover between 3rd Rock From The Sun and Inception (Joseph-Gordon Levitt's characters were the same person) and I absolutely loved it.

I find crossovers are just better world built AU's, they aren't as boring as typical AU's and having two casts interact can be very fascinating to read about. People generally care more about characterization in crossover I find as well, which is alway a bonus!

I'd say do it, if I were you!
