Misunderstandings that involve someone overhearing a small fragment of a conversation, misinterpreting a picture, or something similar and then making assumptions instead of talking it over.

Man, you would hate me in real life then.

No, I mean, I understand hating this because it's obnoxious behavior, but people tend to hate it as a trope because it's "unrealistic," when in fact it is very much realistic for some people to fear confrontation to an annoying and unhealthy degree.

In my opinion, it would be much more tolerable if it were treated as a flaw, and acknowledged that Character A jumping to the wrong conclusion and running with it instead of talking things out was entirely Character A's responsibility, and not the fault of Character B for being eavesdropped on/photographed having lunch with their cousin/wearing the wrong color shirt.
