Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am visiting my sister for the weekend. We are going to try and make a pavlova while getting day drunk. I am also currently drunk and going to play competitive overwatch.

No plans. Honestly feeling miserable on account of the continued pain from the as of yet undiagnosed medical issue I've got going on plus the headache I've had for the past few days. And my doctor didn't send in the refill prescription for my painkiller today like I hoped, so going to have to wait until at least Monday for that.

So probably resting in my bed with heating pads and trying to distract myself with watching things. Either Babylon 5 season 4 or Rizzoli and Isles season 1.

Probably laundry, and I'm down to my last edible so I need to place a delivery order with my dispensary. It's hot here right now and I want a seafood salad, like a shrimp Louis or seared scallops with baby spinach, or a crab salad. And a nice glass of wine, something light and chilled and sparkling, like a dry rosé or champagne. The Italian place down the street has a great shrimp Louis so I'll probably get it tomorrow night (leftover stew over rice tonight). Who knows what happens Sunday, lol.

We're spreading my mom's ashes this weekend and then it's Mother's day. I'm probably going to spend most of it sleeping or escaping into fanfiction if I can even write anything

i've been kind of isolating myself indoors lately bc my allergies kicked in hardcore just this week and physically i feel miserable haha. i wanna catch up on some creative projects bc i've been slacking and since i have the time i want to focus on that bc i know how much better it makes me feel.

I've run out of chores and the grocery run was last weekend, so I guess a lot of nothing. I have a Mothers Day call and a birthday call to make Sunday. I've got enough leftovers that I don't need to make lunches for next week (I'm working from home but still make lunches ahead of time so I can just warm them up).

Just hoping the plants in the garden don't die in the cold. I haven't planted things yet, but there are perennials out there coming up.

I'm going to write a 6k Mother's Day fic in less than 48h for a fandom friend. Good thing I'm spending most of my Saturday at a remote cabin with no distractions.

On Sunday, I'm gonna help my dad get mom a cake, and my sister, a tea enthusiast, will be visiting so my mom can have cake and tea with all her remaining family present.

Have some plans with my mom for a special mother's day dinner with treats! But other than that, facetime with friends and maybe some more time to work on fandom creations. Looking forward to all of the above! Although I also have to work at least one day this weekend.

Have fun seeing your sister and playing Overwatch! Sounds like an ideal weekend. : )

My parents are coming over tomorrow (despite the official quarantine staying on place for two more days) because of a death in the family (not covid-related, t was cancer)
My mom is making plans to see my sister and me despite the lockdown, my dad is helping remote-prepare the ceremony, we're trying to support my aunt without being too intrusive--boy, narrowing attendees' list to 20 persons in church, only 10 at the crematorium is *complicated*.
