Once I was reading a webcomic and someone in the comments section made a jokey comment about the page, and someone else came and yelled at them for giving away spoilers about a later part of the comic. The original comment was years old and had been made before the part of the comic they were accused of spoiling, so someone else got mad at the spoilers-accuser for being the real spoiler-giver for pointing out that what was meant to be seen as just a joke was actually a real spoiler.
