If that's the actual art then yeah, I agree. There's not much leeway in the way of coloured drawings when you're trying to distinguish race.

Like is it plagiarized though?
Being based off a plagiarized work is still in the same running as if the show itself was doing the plagiarizing, if only because it's citing the wrong source as it's base, y'know? I mean, it really sucks that people are ruining your enjoyment of the show, and I have no doubt people are probably taking it too far, but as someone with a huge issue with plagiarism I would definitely think twice before I gave this show a view, personally.

Either way, hopefully people calm down so you can enjoy your show again! <3

Hell yes! I can't wait to play it, I'm like four games back still, but thinking about Odyssey is probably the best incentive I have to finish them!

Definitely. Choosing to define the character as a he/brother is very intentional when we're talking about the Japanese language. I'm not familiar with this manga in particular, but they're definitely intended to be male if that's the original dialogue for sure.

I was also a kid who wasn't allowed stuff that other kids were-- mostly music, actually, such that I still feel pretty lost when it comes to music/pop culture and self-conscious about the fact that I haven't heard of any of the artists of bands that "everybody" knows.

But, what are you gonna do, my parents are good people and not having interacted with the same media as other kids isn't the end of the world.

I feel like they're running out of money for Hiveswap 2, and that's why they had to start up Homestuck2 and Pesterchum and all that quick side stuff that people will fork out cash for.
