I get that, because I've told my kids that I sometimes feel sad that their childhood wasn't like mine. I played outside with my friends, biked all over the neighborhood, used every neighbor's yard as potential hide-and-seek spots, had a huge forest down the street to play in, no cell phone leash, we came home when we were hungry because we usually ate dinner at the same time every day. I don't know if any kid will ever have that experience again, but they don't know what they're missing, so they can't really be sad about that.
