I really feel this, like is it so hard to give a lot of non-racially specific depth to minority characters? apparently, ugh.

This is why I HATE adaptions. I would honestly think this is where the 'canon doesn't matter or exist' fandom lunatics snagged as their dream job, if only due to the complete and utter lack of understanding/regard the new creators have towards the original work. Like, that is NOT Melody's story, that actually contradicts her entire storyline and everything to do with it, I'll wager!

Like, WHAT IS THE POINT?! Seriously?
Why make an adaption when all you're doing is making up some crappy second rate OC to play the part of someone who actually meant something? Especially when they do it only to skew a personable and real story all the way back to basic unyielding racism, patting themselves on the back, thinking there're being so 'aware' or whatever other pathetic excuse they have so that they can use their assumptions and not actually read the work they're credited to adapt... Like fuck off, and stay gone, thanks. Seriously.

I had no idea these movies existed. Great job marketing them, AG!

I saw them marketed a few times on their Facebook and IG accounts, but that’s pretty much it and they were forgotten about pretty fast. As far as I know, there are only three Amazon ones. The one about Ivy’s probably the best out of the three. There are also some short movies on YouTube, but I don’t think those were promoted either because when AG announced a watchalong of their Julie movie, people thought it was a brand new movie. The Julie one was pretty dumb (Julie competes in a beauty pageant, which is incredibly out of character for her).

A beauty pageant? Weird.

Ugh. People complain about the customers not reading the books anymore but it seems the filmmakers don't either.

I miss the care that went into the Samantha, Kit, and Felicity ones.

I did see the YT series about Joss, which I thought was adorable, with the running on the beach in slow motion at the end.
