Good, bad, meh?

I'm still here

It's raining too much. It's overwhelming the gutters and I'm totally going to get water in the basement.

yep here too. just planted new plants yesterday and now I'm afraid half of them won't survive.

Shitty, but that only means that next week will seem like an improvement.

1. An affordable piece of land I was hoping to buy to build a house on has been sold.
2. Spouse is grumpy and has been using me all weekend a s chew toy.
3. I had to call off a visit by my kids because we had workmen in to replace the water heater (thank you for that 5K bill) and I don't want to be face to face with them until 2 weeks have passed.

Doing alright but mostly tired because my sleep pattern is a bit wack at the moment.

I'm also trying to write fanfiction for the first time. I've written out a few scenes I really wanted to write, but now I'm stuck on how to begin it as well as how I'm going to sew my written sections together.

Bill the Duck is finished. Never doing separate clothes on a stuffed animal again!

Mixed. On Thursday I was given a furlough notification. I've been working from home but the visitor attraction I work for simply cannot reopen if the Scottish Government are going to follow advice that requires social distancing measures. I knew I was likely to be one of the next (after the visitor facing staff) but I felt pretty shitty about it and basically had more beer than I normally would on Friday night because I was that pissed off. I know I'm being furloughed to preserve my job but I still feel so numb about not being able to work for at least 3 weeks. I love what I do.

The rest of the weekend was ok. We went on a nice walk yesterday, we're re-watching Rome (seriously still salty about how this got cancelled before its time) and we watched Knives Out last night too.

I tried to run for 10K earlier today but just didn't have it in my legs. I managed 5K, which after the shin splints I suffered on Friday was really reassuring. I've got a Garmin watch now and will say one thing...fuck Fitbit. I've had a Charge 3 less than 18 months and it has been nothing but trouble. For ages I doubted its distance/calories accuracy but the Garmin has exposed my suspicion. If anyone is thinking of getting a fitness tracker I will forever more say: AVOID FITBIT.

Not bad. I finished my homework and I’m watching Sailor Moon now.

Not too bad. Not great either lol. Doing laundry today. I haven't done it in about 2 weeks so there's hella laundry, sheets, blankets, towels etc. I did my nails yesterday (bronze glitter yay). My husband is making tacos for dinner tonight, woohoo!

Not great. The second day of my period landed on an 80 degree day!

Having an existential crisis

Eh, not great, not horrible. I weed whacked the front yard yesterday and swept it up today, got some groceries and take out garlic bread, made a bunch of pesto and am experimenting with freezing it in ice cube trays. I need to go to the laundromat, water the garden, and do another grocery run, and I should really clean house but don’t want to.

I’m taking Tuesday off because I have to take a hen to the vet, so maybe I will clean then. I wish I knew when we’d be dealing with the public at work again; I want to take a week off beforehand. When I was furloughed, I got nothing done after the first few days because I was terrified I’d be laid off.

The good: friend hosted a “Eurovision rejects” party on zoom for like 35 people and it was great; weekly video call with best friends across three time zones (hence why we schedule it ahead) was wonderful

The bad: my mental health is a dumpster fire and my mobility is not so great right just now

The medium: I’m bloated but it’s because I had turkey chili and cornbread

Meh. Didn't get much work done as I wanted to. Started feeling hormonal/cramping today. Mold is also high, so I've had an allergy headache all weekend. Haven't watched anything, but I've listened to some good music on Youtube.

Going okay. I feel bad because I slept a lot but I guess I needed it! I'm trying to teach myself how to Cel shade, although it's going so slowwww, because I'm doing it the wrong way without using the proper tools. But this one piece is starting to look pretty good as a result. Trouble is I have so little time to work on stuff like that, and I just want to finish and post it already! :sob:

Things are quiet here though, businesses are starting to open up and since I don't go out much anyway, I don't have to fight any lines for those who have been dying to go outside and run around in the sun.

Rather good. I don't really want to go back to work but I'm up, rested and ready.
I don't think I did anything on Saturday, but Sunday saw a bit of gardening, and resuming cook-out parties at a friend's place (lockdown is over here and he and his flatmates all got a benign form of covid early last month so risks of contagion are minimal?)
