I think there's a huge difference between comparing one version to another (with no intent towards animosity of either), and putting one version on a pedestal and instantly putting down any other version of it for no reason.

If you're doing the first, that's totally normal. To me, my favourite iteration of Pride and Prejudice is Jennifer Ehle/Colin Firth's version. That doesn't make the Kiera Knightley one bad, I just don't like how much was cut out from the book since it's one of my favourite books, and the cinematography is too... dark? I guess, like colour palette-wise, for me.

But I adore PP&Z because... it's just FUN. And everyone is hot, and it doesn't take itself seriously.
