Yeah, as a fat person, I'm becoming increasingly wary of fat actors and actresses who talk a lot of talk about body positivity but also only takes parts like "Oh no I spilled a whole tub of ice cream over, guess I'll have to eat it off the floor while crying about how lonely I am! holy shit I had completely forgotten about that comic. I can't remember the name but the girl in the image was from the Princess and the pea fairy tale right?

Also remember going to this sort of master post linking to loads of webcomics website and checked to see what had updated everyday when I was a preteen. Oh god this reminds me of the smackjeeves webcomics site - so many memories!

Fandom is a place where many people go to read/view things that turn them on. Much of fandom is focused on shipping and either romance or smut. So of course there is going to be more of a focus on sexual things than there would be in real life. That's not a helpful comparison to make.

First off, I love the image choice for this secret :D.

Second, totally understandable. It can be hard not to do so. Some remakes and reboots are able to stand on their own just fine, but many, there's enough similarities/references/etc., or sometimes it's practically a straight up replica of the original, to where the comparison is inevitable.
