(Anonymous) 2020-05-21 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)It's annoying specifically because I think Netflix' English-language production is really weak, and it seems like they want these non-English-language genre shows to also appeal to English-language viewers. But the non-English-language shows (for the most part) aren't really good enough to be worth watching in subtitles in my personal opinion, and they're not dubbed well enough to be worth watching dubbed. So it just feels like so much of Netflix' content is just betwixt and between.
So, again, it's annoying as a part of Netflix' larger approach to content, which I think is bad overall. I absolutely do not have a problem with them making non-English-language content in general.
