I will watch almost any biopic of people in the arts or sciences.

I like spy novels as a genre but there are some I just don't click with. I try new ones, but it's hit or miss.

Anything with a 'one woman against the world' kind of plot goes on my list to watch or read.

Oh really? Do you have any recommendation of biopics? What were the best one in your opinion? I usually find them boring and uninteresting.

I don't know what to recommend to someone who hasn't liked any before.

Some of my favourites are:

music - walk the line, control, bohemian rhapsody, the pianist

art - frida, seraphine, camille claudel

other - capote, the imitation game, the king's speech, hidden figures, milk

aah! too many more.

The King's Speech was one of those movies that I just came across by accident, I happened to be walking past the theater and had $$ and no other immediate plans, saw the poster and thought "this looks like it might be good". Don't you just love when that happens?

Yes! I had the same experience with About Time. Didn't know anything about it and thought it was a silly rom com. I cried.
