Huh? I'm talking about her new mystery series.

Sorry, I thought your second comment was about Potter. I liked the first book of her mystery series okay. Wasn't amazing, but was okay. Was better than Potter.

I thought it was boring, and when I finished it, I said to myself, "This person has never read a mystery novel before in their entire life."

The second book was an immense improvement - she was writing about publishing, something she knows very well, and it showed. The entire thing was tightly-written and interesting.

The third book was back to garbage again, and like I said, books three and four were unreadable. I'm going to give five a shot, but I doubt I'll make it past the first chapter and at closer to 800 pages, it's clear that it's self-indulgent garbage.

Quit. Give up. You don't like the series, why torture yourself? Unless it's just to have something to hate JKR for, which I guess is a hobby?

I love mysteries and really enjoy the Strike novels. Have turned on several friends to them. Am excited for number 5
