Black Butler is still running?? That's wild to me.

There's a lot of older series that were more popular about a decade or so ago that are still ongoing and this isn't rare. Sometimes the creators take hiatuses and their publishers will often push them to keep the story going if the fanbase is there to continue buying it. I think people get the idea the manga isn't or shouldn't be ongoing because there's no presence of an anime anymore/the anime isn't as popular anymore but the manga is still going.

The one thing I did really like about the anime was the introduction of Alois, who I always thought was an interesting foil to Ceil. Even if that season isn't canon to the manga.

I loved Alois and will forever be angry at what they did to him and the way Ciel highjacked his story.
