It's not getting in the way of anything but these people act like it's the end of the world. There's other shit on Ao3 to read y'all they're not taking any candy away from you.

Some new canon het pairings in my fandom are mostly supported, which is good, but when someone calls it gross het, the defense of it is always "No, this one particular m/f ship is valid because they're both bi [which is unsourced Word of God; I've Googled it] and it's interracial and/or the characters are neurodivergent-coded!" Nah mate they're valid because they just are and would be no matter what because all ships are valid.
