I'm not really into WoLxNPC ships in FFXIV, probably because I only have any attachment to my own WoL and he's married, but I think it's really, really cute that the Leveilleur twins are written in a way that makes it seem like they both have just. Heart-rending crushes on the WoL, haha. It makes me want to run up one or two alts to explore that dynamic...

Oh, I love the twins!

And honestly I love fandoms/ships like this where it's basically everyone shipping their OC with the characters they like. It's great.

They're so good ;3; Like, it's actually amazing how well-written their individual arcs are. I didn't expect it from an MMO, but the characters are all so good, and the twins are especially incredible. I adore them.

And yeah, I completely agree! I love seeing people's WoLxNPC ships and how different they all are, and I love the fact that the narrative definitely allows for it. You could tilt your head at any of the NPCs and glean romantic intent directed at the WoL, and I think that's intentional-- it's not overt, there's no "canon" love interest (thank god), it's just easy to make out exactly what you want from each relationship. It's really expertly done.
