I guess for some people having an audience with expectations motivates them to write?

I've enjoyed posting as I go when I've written comment fic. I can see how people might find it beneficial.

yeah, I can see that - a few people have said that - for me any pressure for fic writing was the kiss of death (The opposite for formal study, essays and now I'm a work slave, reports and assessments - the deadline is essential in that context to gee me along - but for fic - any pressure killed it dead.) I forgot how that can be a positive motivator for others.
