That's the style you go for if you want to make a popular webcomic tbh. Bright colors but extremely simple so that you can crank out updates lightning fast. It's not bad looking for what it is, but not my first choice for "prettiest comic" for sure.

I wrote an AU with soulmates ... where one of them is batshit crazy from an abusive background and is therefore abusive to his partner. Because in a world with soulmates, wouldn't that happen??

I lost interest in Outlander pretty early on, but I really liked Claire's husband and, from my limited interaction with the fandom, I felt he was treated kind of unfairly.

I totally know what you mean, it's a fascinating subject but most of the media about it really covers it in a way that is... extremely not great.

Even X-Files really draws on some crappy background ideologies and sources (Bill Cooper is probably the most relevant one) but it's fictionalized and distant enough, and filtered through Chris Carter's weird new-age hippyism enough, not to bother me as much.
