Not sure what you mean, op. Are you scared of the purity police thinking you're one of them?

A little bit? More like I'm scared of their mindset. Like for instance; I've drawn a femslash couple and I get comments like "OH THEY'RE SO PURE", which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't go on further to describe them as pure/fluffy/perfect/babies who could do no wrong that just rubs me the wrong way. Like I hadn't drawn young kids in puppy-love with each other, they're grown women who are making out a bit in the drawing.
It feels like a lot of people's reaction (not just on my work, but what I've seen commented on other works too) tie in with the idea that these characters are too perfect to have flaws and even considering them to have flaws would be 'problematic' or become too 'toxic' to explore.

And that's just talking about my experience in femslash parts of fandoms. It just an attitude that seems to have a sinister cultish vibes to it, and I just want no part of that.
