Ngl I wouldn't mind having your fanfic woes.

For a while, mine were like "Wow this fanfic about my ship is great! Oh wait... that writer was once my friend but then we had a falling out/they became mean to me/etc" so I avoided reading their fics, even if it was probably well done and had my favorite ship and tropes.

Part of me wondered, "If I didn't get to know the writer, would I still enjoy their fics?" Within that idea of separating the art from the artist, to an extent?
