A/N stating what to expect in each chapter (although i do bypass the AN) as well as any story that where the author states "if you don't like XYZ (problematic trope etc) then maybe this isnt for you and you shouldn't read this?" Like....dude this was tagged. TAGGED. ughhhhhh i always feel like the author is doing baby's first dark fic(TM) becauae honestly...

There's a lot of people that will attack writers for posting dark(er) content so I get the "I've given you about fifty different chances to know what you're getting into and if you still continue on I take no responsibility for you being upset by my content". I also get not wanting to post a wall of tags so instead you use the A/N as a more detailed explanation on anything anyone could want to be warned about.

I actually think it's a good idea, in the sense you can go into more detail than in the tags which are purely for categorization purposes. "X is a theme in this story but it isn't explicitly shown in detail". Everyone has different needs so maybe a reader will only get particularly bothered by something if it's depicted in detail and not just something more in the background the character has to struggle with.

I usually use the A/N as an introduction to the story in the vein of why I'm writing it and what sort of approach I'm taking to the topics in it, etc.
