I'm officially done with cop shows. I can't justify watching shows that paint cops as heroes anymore and whitewash the genuine culture issues that lead to the things we see in the news. Cop shows give the same lie cops give, that these are outliers. Or give us "heroes" like Voight on Chicago PD that act in ways that real cops use to hurt and kill real people.

Yeah, I'm with you. I actually used to see comments online from rightwingers complaining that Chicago PD was "liberal propaganda" and I'm just like WHAT FUCKING WORLD ARE YOU LIVING IN?! Someone thinking a show that glorifies police brutality is too far left is just fucking mind-boggling. And terrifying.
